One thing Canelo Álvarez has made incredibly is he doesn’t like Gennady Golovkin …calling Golovkin, among other things, “a straight-up asshole who talks too much”. Because of that Canelo Alvarez made it clear he’s gunning for the knockout. “He’s not honest, he pretends to be a good person and be different but he’s not”.

“He talks a lot of shit about me,” Alvarez said. “He’ll say, I respect him, his career, other part, He’s an embarrassing boxer, he’s embarrassing for Mexican boxing, I hate that motherfucker because of that.” English speaking Canelo pulls no punches, it’s actually quite entertaining. Gennady Golovkin on the other hand believes Álvarez is upset because Golovkin is speaking the truth and Canelo can’t handle it.

The beef will be settled on Sept. 17 in Las Vegas when the two step into the ring for the third time and finally settle the score. Their first fight was declared a draw with Canelo Álvarez winning a decision in their second encounter that some say belonged to GGG.
